This conversation with Luke Barnes was recorded on August 5th, 2024. Luke is a Senior Lecturer in astronomy and cosmology at Western Sydney University. He has has a PhD from the University of Cambridge, and has published papers in the field of galaxy formation and the fine-tuning of the universe for life. With Geraint Lewis he is the author, of 'A Fortunate Universe: Life in a Finely Tuned Cosmos', which addresses conflicting ideas from science and religion as it discusses the origins of the Universe, and our place in it. I absolutely loved speaking to Luke, because not only can he deal with immense subjects such as the origins of the universe, but he speaks in a very accessible way about how Christianity is compatible with science.
